Water Connects Us.

In these short videos, we hear from community members, partners, leaders, organizers, artists, farmers, and elected officials as they share their unique perspectives on water in this moment.

Through these videos, we hope to amplify our shared connections to water and each other, as well as lift up a diverse array of voices.

In our first video above, hear from Mark Denning (Sturgeon Clan) and our Artist-in-Residence, Melanie Ariens. Both Mark and Melanie have been involved with the work of Milwaukee Water Commons from the very beginning and continue to be great allies.

In our second episode to the right, Lajwanti Waghray shares her water connection. A film maker with Red Crane Films, Laj is originally from Hyderabad, India and has served on our Arts & Culture Initiative.

Our waters can divide us.

They can also set us free.

The story of our rivers and lake is a complicated one, and it continues to be written.
